Biography
Christian Chilan received his Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include optimal control, optimization, orbital mechanics, combined plant and control design (co-design), parallel computing, and scientific data management. Currently, he is conducting research on spacecraft attitude control using strain-actuated solar arrays for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
