Biography
Anand P. Deshmukh received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2008 from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India and M.S. in Industrial Engineering in 2013 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Systems and Entrepreneurial Engineering. His research interests include optimal control, non-linear optimization, model-based controls, co-design, power grid frequency regulation markets, renewable energy and demand response management in smart grid. His project areas include algorithms for optimal integration of renewables in the power grid and theoretical treatment of co-design.
